Camping tickets for this year’s Bestival have sold out, although a number of non-camping weekend tickets are still available, iwcp.co.uk reports.
The Isle of Wight bash, which takes place at Robin Hill Country Park in September, has sold out of camping tickets for the eighth year in a row, albeit with just one week to go before the gates open.
Festival-goers still holding out for tickets may still be in luck, however, as non-camping tickets are still available for those wanting to spend the night away from camp in an Isle of Wight hotel.
Around 50,000 people are expected to descend on Robin Hill Park for the three-day event, with headline slots coming from Florence + The Machine, New Order and Stevie Wonder. Elsewhere, The XX and Sigur Ros are gearing up to play UK festival exclusives at the event.
Speaking to onthewight.com after selling out, festival curator and Radio 1 DJ Rob da Bank explained: “A funny old year for festivals but we got there!
“We are sold out for the eighth year running, which is no mean feat and thanks to everyone who’s bought a ticket. So now it’s time to get wild, dress up, let your hair down, prepare to party like it’s, well, 2012, and hopefully witness things that no-one else on earth has ever seen! See you on the grass.”
