Energetic and so much fun, the jive is a high octane dance which remains extremely popular. As such, Trouville’s jive breaks rank among the most hotly-anticipated dance events held on the Island.
Modern jive exists in numerous forms: Ceroc, Leroc and Smoothroc to mention a few, and our qualified instructors cover many of these styles. It’s been around since the 1930s and is classified as one of the five international Latin Dances, owing to its incredible speed – though don’t panic, your instructor won’t go that fast. Not straight away, anyway!

We are the premier dance venue on the Island – recognised as one of the best in the UK – and have many years’ experience in holding events for dance groups and organisers. Therefore you can relax, safe in the knowledge that all the preparations will go smoothly, making your event one to remember. Large parties can be given sole use of our facilities – just let us know what you need.
We’ll also provide half-board, sea-view accommodation, incredible food and return ferry travel – not to mention some of Britain’s best-loved and most beautiful coastline.
While we don’t like to blow our own trumpet, probably the biggest reason why so many organisers choose to hold their event at the Trouville is due to our stunning ballroom. At 1,500 square feet of sprung maple, it is the envy of the Isle of Wight.

Our jive dance breaks
All abilities are welcome on our jive dance breaks, where our amazing dance teachers provide tuition that will have even the most two-left-footed dancers false pretzel-ing, windmill-ing and yoyo-ing with ease.
Guests will enjoy jive lessons, tea dances, award-winning guest teachers, incredible music and entertainment and the chance to put what they’ve learned to good use in one of our balls or freestyle dancing sessions.
We offer a variety of two and three night breaks which are inclusive of half-board accommodation, incredible food and a return ferry journey – so you won’t need to worry about a thing.
