Sequence dance breaks

If you’re not familiar with the concept, sequence dancing is a gentle activity in which all participants dance the same sequence of steps – be they Ballroom or Latin – at the same time. As it’s generally low-energy, this wonderful dance experience is ideal for everyone, of all ages and fitness levels.

It’s nothing new, either. Derived from social dances of the past, such as folk, line, clog, Scottish and even court dancing, the modern version developed post-War as the appetite for ballroom dancing hit new heights. With the ongoing success of television shows like Strictly Come Dancing, it’s little wonder that greater numbers of people are discovering and rediscovering dancing, especially in this form which is so inclusive.

The perfect venue for sequence dance events

For a truly magical experience, why not hold your sequence dancing event at the Trouville?
With many years’ experience, we are proud of our reputation as one of the premier dance break providers in the UK – and we remain a firm favourite with organisers of large group events. We work closely with organisers to create something fantastic.

Our Art Deco-inspired, evocative ballroom houses the Island’s biggest (and we think, best) dancefloor, comprising 1,500 square feet of the finest sprung maple – so there’s plenty of space for all those dance steps.
Dependent on numbers, groups also benefit from exclusive use of our facilities, half-board accommodation, return car ferry travel and could even enjoy special group discounts.

Don’t hold your sequence dancing event in a church hall! Please get in touch to find out more, either calling us on 01983 402141 or sending an email to groups@trouvillehotel.co.uk.

Our sequence dance breaks

Throughout the year we also run our own popular sequence dance breaks. Run by experts, tuition will include improving your technique and a chance to learn new dances– with fantastic musical accompaniments to match.

Our high quality dance breaks come complete with excellent half board accommodation and return ferry travel. When guests aren’t dancing, they can explore the seaside charm of the Isle of Wight, perhaps venturing out to Sandown Pier or simply sipping a well-earned drink at our bar.

If nothing else, we know our guests have a great time and many return year after year. A dance break at Trouville is something you won’t forget.
